Three judges from Spokane viewed and chose the winning entries for the 2013 Rosalia Chamber of Commerce Christmas Lighting Displays.

First Place: Jim Stenhouse for preciseness, effectiveness, and coordination.

First Place: Glen LaMoureaux for incorporating all styles and categories of lights.

First Place: Dan Brown for variations of colored lights and dimensions.

First Place: Lee Ticknor for use of entire lot.

Best Block: Griffin and Lazcano. First Place Business: Rosalia Grannies; second place: Gary Earley: Damron Accounting; third place: Heather Smith, Country Store.

Christmas trees: First Place: Jose Castanan; second place: Angie Bruce; third place: Trevor Gregory.

Contemporary Display: First Place: Arlin Paulson; second place: Paul Buchholtz; third place: Amanda Rich.

Nativity Display: First Place: Stewart Nereim; second place: Don Littleton; third place: Linda VanDerSloot.

Traditional Display: First Place: Clint Tucker; second place: Eric Eleston; third place: Nancy Frances.

Senior Citizens: First Place: Karen Rockness; second place: Dave Preston; third place: Mike Day.

Inflatables: First Place: Jane Carrothers; second place: Bob Hill.

Oakesdale

Judging for the Oakesdale Historical Society’s Christmas Outdoor Decorating Contest was Saturday. Members of the Booth family from Farmington were the guest judges.

After looking at many decorated houses, they chose Colleen Rose as first place with a $50 gift certificate from Crossetts and Roger and Sherry Hager as second place with a $25 cash prize. The Historical Society is hoping to make this a yearly event.
