Dusty folks visit Canada

Dusty

Jon and Li Ochs recently spent a weekend in Victoria, B.C., where they visited their daughter, Allisha, and her three year old son Cole. While there, Li ran the 8 K leg of the Victoria Marathon and came in fourth in her age group, less than a minute off the group’s first place finisher.

They also rode bikes and played on the beach. They spent a night in Seattle with daughter Sara and her husband Nathan before returning home.

Bryan Jones, Fran Jones, her grandchildren Meggie and Damien Perron, spent three days in Osoyoos, B.C., the weekend of October 11 - 14, where they celebrated Canadian Thanksgiving with several of Fran’s nieces and nephews. They were guests of Tina and Doug Rusu of Edmonton, Alberta, who have a condo in Osoyoos.

Micah Morgan, Yakima, spent several days at the home of his grandparents, Harm and Jan Smith. Micah enjoyed watching Lucky Myrick cut and polish a stone during the “Rock and Wire” event at the Myrick home Saturday afternoon.

Local residents Sara Van Camp and Donald (Fred) Frederick Yates, Jr., were married Sunday, Oct. 13, at the Country Bible Church. Sara’s son Tom walked her down the aisle.

Bridesmaids were her three daughters, Alicia Hansen, Lillian Van Camp and Paige Van Camp, all of Spokane. Groomsmen were Dawson Messersmith, Chris Roberts and Mike Strevy, all of Dusty. Flower girl was Sara’s niece, Stacey Dillon of Spokane, and ring bearer was Bufus, Sara and Fred’s Great Dane/Sharpei mix dog of Dusty.
