Nighthawks volleyball downs Ritzville in three

The Tekoa-Oakesdale volleyball team is off to a 3-0 start after a 25-15, 27-25, 25-12 win over Ritzville Tuesday night.

Four seniors led the team in the victory, all of whom have started since they were freshmen or sophomores.

Senior Alexa Lindgren had 29 assists in the three games along with six digs. Mattie Jo Johnson added 17 kills with four aces while Cassandra Mendoza had 16 kills and seven digs.

Eden Anderson added five blocks.

The Nighthawks, who are two-time defending state champions will play next at home against Reardan tonight at 6 p.m....
