St. John "Fall in Love" offers many events

St. John

St. John will kick off its ‘fall in love’ events this Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The St. John Heritage Museum will host a showing of vintage Eagle Uniforms and a wine tasting for $10. All money raised will go to the Museum. Throughout downtown there will be a checker tournament, scarecrow contest, music and face painting.

The St. John Youth sport group will sell chili and cinnamon rolls. All money will help support all the youth sports in the St. John area.

The St. John Fire Department will have their doors open for kids to climb on the new truck and try on hats and boots.

Cheer leaders will have a bake sale and yard sale at 501 W. Fairway Lane. Funky Junk will host a free marshmallow roast Saturday from 11 to 4.

Golf and Trap Tournament will be Sept. 22 with four person team golfs where two shoot and two person teams where both shoot and golf. Trap begins at 10 a.m. at the St. John Gun club with a BBQ lunch at noon. Golf will be a shotgun start at 1 p.m. at the St. John Golf Course. Cost is $25 per person.

Yard of the month award went to Louie and LaRena White of 14 E. State St.
