SJ Easter Egg Hunt

The St. John Easter egg hunt will be March 30 at 10 a.m. in the city park. It is open to all youngsters through the third grade level. Sponsored by St. Johnbusinesses and residents, the hunt is organized by the St. John-Endicott 4H club and the Community Mothers Club.

Civil war program slated at Gladish

In commemoration of the sesquicentennial of the Civil War, Whitman County Historical Society is sponsoring a presentation about the war and Andersonville National Historic Site in Georgia, one of many prisoner of war locations. The presentation will be at 7 p.m. Monday, April 15, in the Gladish Building at Pullman.

Eric Leonard, chief of interpretation at Andersonville, will discuss the realities of imprisonment in both Confederate and Union prisons. Leonard is also in charge of the National Prisoner of War Museum and the Anderson National Cemetery. He is a 1991 graduate of Pullman High School.

Oldenburg will give river report

Charlie Oldenburg will present a powerpoint presentation on “The Snake River Before and After Lower Granite Dam,” April 6, 10:30 a.m. at Bishop Place social room on SE Klemgard in Pullman. The program will be sponsored by Whitman County Genealogical Society.

The Graduate slated at PCT

Pullman Civic Theatre’s production of “The Graduate” will open April 5 with additional performances April 6, 11, 12 and 13 at 7:30 p.m. and matinees April 7 and 14 at 2 p m. at the Nye Street Theatre in Pullman.

The play brings the movie hit of the 1960s vividly to life on stage.

Tickets can be purchased at Neill’s Flowers and Gifts, Wild Ivy, Dissmore’s IGA, and at the box office.

APU lists Bofenkamp

Sarah J. Bofenkamp of Palouse qualified for the deans’ list at Azusa Pacific University for fall semester with a 3.5 or better grade average. Azusa Pacific University is located in Azusa, Calif., with an enrollment of nearly 10,000 students.

Harmon, Aria Noelle, was born Feb. 25, 2013, at nine pounds, seven ounces, to Ben and Corinne Harmon at their home in Moscow. Maternal grandparents are Jerry and Mary Sloot of Marysville. Paternal grandparents are Brad and Lori Harmon of Moscow, Idaho. The baby joins brother Ezra, 2.
