Mail thefts on the rise

 


Residents, particularly in Colfax and Pullman, are reporting mail thefts and police are warning people to not leave mail in residential mail boxes.

The Colfax Police Department noticed an increase in the incidents of mail thefts over the past few weeks, possibly related to tax return season, according to Colfax Police Chief Rick McNannay.

Pullman police and sheriff’s deputies are also receiving reports of a higher than normal amount of mail thefts, Chief McNannay said.
