The final two weeks of the 1B boys race figures to be a scramble with four of five teams still within range of the top spots. Garfield-Palouse booked two big wins over the weekend to land on top of the league.

The Vikings Saturday posted a strong win over the L/W Tigercats to advance their league mark to 10-2. The home win followed a three-point margin posted over Touchet’s in the Indians’ court in the Friday night round.

Pomeroy, which escaped Rosalia Saturday with a 58-52 win in overtime, and L/W are one win behind the Vikings in the current standings.

The Colton boys remained in the race with two wins over the weekend, 64-23 over the Nighthawks, and 70-52 over the Liberty Christian Patriots on Saturday

The Wildcats this weekend will travel to St John Friday and then host Touchet in the Saturday round. That will be followed by a visit from the now-number two Pomeroy club.
