Obituary - Jacob A. Sesock

Mass of Christian burial for Jacob A. Sesock, 59, Potlatch, was Monday morning at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Potlatch with Father Caleb Vogel officiating. Recitation of the rosary was Sunday evening. Burial was at the Rock Creek Cemetery in Potlatch.

Mr. Sesock died from colon cancer early last Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, at the Gritman Medical Center in Moscow.

Born April 18, 1953, at Bend, Ore., to Jacob W. and Martha (DeRocher) Sesock, he attended St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School in Bend and Bend High School where he graduated with the class of 1971. He earned an associate degree in electronics at Central Oregon Community College.

He married Lauretta Robbins Sept. 8, 1973, at Bend and they made their home at Bigfork, Mont., where Mr. Sesock was a system dispatcher for Pacific Power Co. (now Flathead Electric Co-op). He also worked as a station wireman foreman and retired in 2006 from the company after 32 years service.

They moved to Potlatch in 2007. He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus in Potlatch. Mr. Sesock enjoyed hunting, fishing, and wood-working and spending time with his family, especially his five grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Lauretta, at the Potlatch home; one daughter, Sarah (Tom) Ristine, Potlatch; his mother, Martha Breen, Bend; one brother, Ken (Alison) Sesock, Bigfork, Mont .; one sister, Judy (Steve) Pederson, Bend; and five grandchildren.

Memorials may be given to St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Box 143, Potlatch, ID or to the Knights of Columbus, c/o Dennis Frei, 1149 Crane Creek Rd., Potlatch, ID 83855.

Kramer Funeral Home, Palouse, is handling the arrangements.
