Hooper potluck marks harvest end, farewell

An impromptu potluck last Wednesday, Aug. 22 celebrated the end of harvest and extended a good luck to Calab Hannas as he heads off to college at Walla Walla Community College.

Hooper’s volunteer firefighters have been busy this past week putting out several fires, along with other Whitman County volunteer fire departments. Residents appreciate all the time and effort.

Wayne Randle of Port Orchard returned home Thursday after spending six weeks visiting in Hooper and working in harvest.
