Oakesdale

A spaghetti feed dinner will be this Friday, March 11, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Oakesdale School cafeteria. Cost is by donation with all proceeds going to benefit the Oakesdale Assisted Living Project.

Oakesdale Library announces the start up of our new book club, Read it! Loved it! The book club meets every fourth Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the library with a potluck dinner and desert.

Wednesday Letters by Jason F. Wright we will be discussed at the next session March 22.

Oakesdale Library’s Food for Fines food drive finished with more than $40 in library fines being waived with food donations and more than $55 worth of food collected. All food collected will be donated to the Oakesdale Tree of Sharing for distribution in their annual food boxes.

Grade school students at the Oakesdale Elementary School Feb. 28 participated in a “Read Across America” program put on by members of the Colfax Library staff. Activities included a visit from the Reading Bear and a Dr. Suess story and games.

“Read Across America” celebrates the birthday of Dr. Suess on March 2.
