Lamonters attend shows, dinners

Lamont

On Sunday, Feb. 13, Kris and Gus Musante and their guest, Kaye Bailey, attended the U.S. Air Force sponsored Tops in Blue 2010 World tour production “We Believe.” This musical show was performed by all Air Force personnel at the Spokane Convention Center. The Air Force produces this show for only Air Force personnel and their guests. Spokane is just one stop on their world tour.

Betty Stone met her sister, Carol Vest, her niece, Lisa Bordwell and her daughters, Carolyn Behrens, Debbie Gaffney and Patty Ehteredge, for lunch in the Spokane Valley Saturday.

Nita Vold hosted the Sprague-Lamont pinochle club Feb. 14. Club members present were Shirley Miller, Claudette Sharp, Arletta Hoffman, Anita Frederick, Betty Stone and Kathy Shields. Guests were Karen Balf and Pat Busby. Betty won high, Claudette low and Kathy the galloper.

Kathy Shields Feb. 17 hosted the Little Red Hens ladies red hat club with lunch at the Northtown Mustard Seed. They went to see the movie, “The Kings Speech.” Attending were Bea Butler, Georgia Bageant, Kay Dirks, Marcia Landers, Jean Meyers, Shirley Miller, Nita Vold, Pat Peterson, Jackie Brown and Betty Stone.

The Spokane Junior Livestock Show benefit dinner and auction was Saturday, Feb. 19, at the Spokane Interstate Fairground. Pete and Sandi Swannack bought a table for 10. Their guests were Steven Engles and friend, Casey Colt, Tom and Kathy Harding, John and Anett Rustemeyer, Don and Amy Swannack. Pete was sick and not able to attend and Sandi invited Mary Breeden to take his place.

Saturday, Diane Cook attended a 90th birthday party for long-time friend, Hazel Secrest. Hazel’s daughter, Marilyn, and Diane have been friends since grade school. Sunday, Diane and Peggy Miller attended the Sunday matinee of “Legally Blonde” in Spokane.

Allen and Diane Cook were recent luncheon guests of Sandi and Dennis Miller, Logan and Kristen, of Kahlotus. The Cooks then drove to Airway Heights for the Lamont Community Church’s annual Valentine dinner.

Jean Stromberger went to Pullman with Bill and Janet Stromberger Monday to visit and have lunch with Lana and Brendan Stromberger. Lana and Brendan both graduated following winter semester from WSU, and Brendan will depart Monday for a position as a graphic designer near Palo Alto. Lana will follow later.
