January 14, 2010

Tekoa

Tekoa celebrated the winter holidays in grand style with contests and events to attend.

Tekoa’s Park and Recreation Department hosted its annual holiday lighting contest. Winners in the following categories were: Brightest Lights: Jim and Claudia Heaton; Waiting for Santa: Mike and Kate Bogenrief; and Most Colorful: Greg and Karen Blomgren.

Owners Amber and Klaus Giebler of The Cafe Artisan welcomed contestants to their third annual gingerbread contest. Many gingerbread creations adorned the restaurant during the holidays. All participants were winners in the event.

C & D Bar & Grill welcomed patrons to their first Christmas Day Dinner. Owner Cal Chase served a complete turkey dinner to friends and customers. They were entertained by Scotty J playing Christmas songs on his keyboard. Volunteer servers included Sandy Dehan, Gene Pavlenko and Shelley (Pavlenko) Hay.

The Feeding Station hosted its fourth anniversary Jan. 9 with prime rib dinner buffet. Owner Shawn Smith had full reservations for the event.
