Holiday concert at Garfield

Garfield Elementary School students presented their annual holiday concert Dec. 10 with songs featuring special appearances by Santa Claus and Blitzen.

Fourth graders played their recorders, and the fifth grade band played holiday favorites under the direction of Ruth Vertrees.

Then, grade school singers, kindergarten through fifth grade, were directed by Rebecca Hemphill and accompanied by Mary Wiley on piano. They performed “There’s Someone in the Chimney” with Santa portrayed by Erik Anderson.
