Five earn all-As for Oakesdale term

Oakesdale students with all-A grade point averages for the first quarter are Desiree Chappell and Drake Hinkins, seniors; Kaela Dewan, sophomore; Jacey Headley and Alexa Lindgren, eighth grade.

Those with a 3.50 to 3.99 grade average are Katie Graffis, Cora Fisher, Joey Hooper, Brandon Hovde, Alisa Jones and Nick Wright, seniors; Debby Betz, Alex Lanius and Chloe Rambo, juniors; Dusty Haggerty and Anna Mills, sophomores; Courtenay Perry, freshman; Kristina Thursby, eighth grade.

Students earning a 3.0 to 3.49 grade average are Michael Conklin, Lance Lindgren, Trevor Renstrom and Amanda Tarbuck, juniors; Jeffrey DeGon and Katie Wright, sophomores, Katie Renstrom, freshman; Hayley Adams and Emily Paddock, eighth grade; Madison Dabolt, Ashlie Chappell and Virginia Krehmke, seventh grade.

Fifteen attend rose session

Endicott library’s paper rose craft program Oct. 23 had 15 people participating. Gail Bilow demonstrated and taught this fun program. Everyone went home with a rose.

Endicott library will partner with Trinity Lutheran Church, Endicott Food Center and concerned citizens by helping with 2009 Community Food Drive. Endicott library will reward library patrons with a free book or magazine of their choice when they bring in non-perishable food items to the library. A drop-off box is available at the library through Nov. 20.

The Third Thursday program will meet on Nov. 19 at the Endicott School in the multi-purpose room. Students in grades 1-5 are invited to participate in Thanksgiving crafts, book talks and fun games. The program will begin at 3:20 p.m. and end at 4 p.m.

Ready for Winterfest

Once again, the St. John library will be open from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Winterfest Saturday, Dec. 5 with hot drinks, cookies, crafts and a slide show featuring the Rural Heritage pictures.

The new Friends of the Library Cookbook is available for purchase at a special holiday price in the St. John library. They are $10.
