Three LaCrosse families to host exchange students

LaCrosse

Three LaCrosse families are hosting foreign exchange students this year. Al and Carolyn Martin will host two while the Darrin Fleming family and the Gary Wargo family will each open their homes to one student.

The Arts Council reports that ticket sales for the Baxter Black/Wylie show in Hooper Sunday, Aug. 30 have gone very well. Tickets will also be available on the day of the event.

Advance carnival tickets for the Palouse Empire Fair are available at the Bank of Whitman. The advance sale ends Sept. 9, the day before the start of the fair. Fair admission bracelets are also available through the LaCrosse Fair Royalty, Queen Kirstin Stubbs and Princess Sam Bafus.

School calendars are also available for $8 at the Bank of Whitman.

The first day of school will be Tuesday, Aug, 31.
