    Colfax teams will return to Oakesdale this week to host home games, Athletic Director Nathan Holbrook reported Monday. School officials Monday decided to stay off the Colfax High School track, where application of the top layers is scheduled for this week.     Two local yoga instructors are volunteering their services to benefit important local causes and organizations. On the first Tuesday of each month, Suzy McNeilly and Crystn Guenthner will provide a yoga class from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at the Colfax Library that will be by donation only with all proceeds going to area groups and causes.     Dusty Judy and Marc Watson’s pasture was the site of a Scouting Camporee for five scout troops from Whitman and Latah counties this weekend. Scouts, leaders, parents and by-standers spent Friday night into Sunday participating in gun safety, a calisthenics course, a Dutch oven cook-off Saturday night and other badge earning events.     Second-grade Jenning’s Elementary students planted two trees on Thursday, Sept. 22, at Schmuck Park in observance of Arbor Day. The trees are planted with a marker provided by Colfax Monument.     Rosalia is seeking bids for a sidewalk restoration project near its school. The town has issued a call for sealed bids which will be due by 10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 6. The town is planning for improvements of the sidewalk on the west side of Josephine Ave. from Seventh to Ninth streets.     Some of the ponderosa pine trees lining Lake Street in Colfax are infested with three types of pine beetles. Pine needles on this tree indicate that it is dying from the infestation. The pine beetle infestation in Colfax was discovered in July, and work has been underway to attempt to save some of the trees and combat the problem.
