Stirling Strong benefit slated A dinner, silent and live auction to benefit the family of Konnor Stirling has been scheduled for Aug. 8 at the Colfax Golf Club. Konnor, who will be in the seventh grade at Colfax, is the son of Tom and Janel Stirling of Colfax. He was diagnosed with leukemia in April and has been undergoing chemotherapy treatments at Providence Sacred Heart in Spokane. Endicott Endicott had another successful July 4 with a lot of people attending, especially for the fireworks. The hamburgers and sausage dogs were sold out, the pies and ice cream were a hit. Tuesday was the first day for legal recreational marijuana sales in the state. Opening day here was introduced with less fanfare than the first day of legal marijuana sales in Colorado.
