    COLFAX — The Palouse Hills Muzzleloaders will be in Colfax on June 24-26 for their 32nd annual rendezvous.     FARMINGTON - A local woman is being held in the Whitman County Jail following a standoff with authorities. Jamie Carosino, 30, is being held on $250,000 bail. She will be arraigned at 9 a.m. Friday, June 24. Records show she was taken into custody Thursday, June 16, on multiple allegations which included the intentional discharge of firearms.     COLFAX — A Potlatch, Idaho, man has joined the Whitman County Gazette as a summer reporter intern. Reid Thompson, 20, began his internship Monday, June 13. He is a junior studying journalism and international relations at Syracuse University in New York. Over the summer Thompson will be reporting on local affairs and creating a rural Whitman County visitors guide.     PALOUSE — The first swim team practice of the season is set for noon to 1 p.m. Monday, June 27. Tryouts are not required, officials said. To compete, swimmers must be able to complete the following: Swim 25 yards of any stroke if you are 10 and under Swim 50 yards of any stroke if you are 12 and older.
