    COLFAX – The Colfax School District has hired Andrew Borders as the new principal for Jennings Elementary School.     COLFAX – Whitman County has received another positive COVID-19 result, bringing the county total to 20 after three were reported last week. The new case is a male in the 20 to 39 age range. Investigation into the case in on-going. The other three new cases since the county entered Phase II are stable and isolating at home. All of the newer cases have been in the same age range.     PULLMAN – Pullman Police responded May 22 to a report of a subject wearing skis and ski boots riding on the roof of a vehicle on South Street. Pullman Police received a call just after midnight May 22 reporting something was falling out of the sky in the Grand Ave., Chase area of Pullman. Officers were unable to locate.     OAKESDALE – Motions to suppress and dismiss have been made by two of the seven individuals booked May 17 for drug use in an Oakesdale home.     COLFAX – Charges of violation of the uniform controlled substances act and possession of controlled substance while in a correctional facility were filed against Katrina Taylor, 50, last week when she was allegedly found in possession of heroin after being booked into Whitman County Jail.     PULLMAN – Alexander Taylor Kamara, 30, was booked into Whitman County Jail May 15 for burglary and theft. According to the Pullman Police report, Walmart surveillance video allegedly showed Taylor Kamara take a six pack of Heineken from the shelf and walk out without attempting to pay.
