The first drove, which numbered about 40 head, passed through at about 9:30 a.m., and the second drove, numbering about 20, a few hours later. Tickets are now on sale for the Colfax Chamber of Commerce 17th annual Wine & Micro Beer Tasting & Auction. The event is planned for Friday, May 12, at 6 p.m. at the Palouse Empire Fairgrounds. Mathew P. Parsons, 21, Pullman, was sentenced to 17 days in jail April 19 in superior court after he pleaded guilty to a charge of disclosure of intimate images. Parsons was actually sentenced to 364 days in jail with all but the 17 suspended. He was ordered to begin serving the jail time by May 5. The charge against Parsons stems from a report by a Pullman woman who said Parsons, who was hired to replace a broken screen on her iPhone, had discovered nude pictures of her on the phone and texted them to his phone. Alvord P. Verley, 31, Spokane, another suspect in the Nov. 23 break-in at the Larry Hood residence south of Pullman on Highway 195, was booked into the county jail here April 19. Verley, who had been wanted on an arrest warrant, was charged Jan. 21 with first degree burglary and robbery, kidnapping and attempted burglary. Bail on the warrant had been set at $50,000. Motorcycle riders are scheduled to assemble at the First Baptist Church parking lot starting at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 29, for the ninth annual Tail of the Snake Ride sponsored by Christian motorcyclists Palouse 3N1 Ridaz. The Colfax School Board approved a new fee schedule Monday night which includes a cut from $40 to $20 for a senior citizens' annual sports pass. Rosalia Rosalia's Mike Day returned to his residence here April 19 after more than two months of hospitalizations and rehabilitation recovery. Day underwent major surgery in Spokane and then resided at Whitman Health and Rehab in Colfax. He then underwent additional surgery and resided at a recovery center in Post Falls. A date has been set for June 1 at 6:30 p.m. at the Colfax High School auditorium for a public debut of a documentary film on the history of Colfax.
