    A few Rosalia Girl Scouts began working on their "First Aid" badge on Wednesday, March 15.   • Trial date set in arson case

    A June 12 trial date has been set for the three suspects in the Tekoa arson case. Diane Galler, 51, Spokane Valley; Darien Rhoads, 21, Spokane, and Raymond Rhoads III, Spangle, all pleaded not guilty to the charge of first degree arson in superior court Friday. The state case alleges Galler decided to burn down her unoccupied house on Truax Street to collect the insurance.     Spencer Walior, a former WSU student now residing in Lynnwood, was allowed “one more chance” March 17 to remain in the Whitman County drug court program after a hearing on a motion by the prosecutor’s office to have him removed. The state in its report said Walior had violated terms of drug court by being arrested for drunken driving and hit and run in Pierce County last December and by forging monthly treatment reports required of participants in the program.     The shot-put area of the new Colfax High School track will be the recipient of proceeds from next month’s “Yoga for a Cause” scheduled Tuesday, April 4, at 5:30 p.m. at the Colfax Library. Yoga for a Cause features an hour of family friendly yoga, followed by 30 minutes devoted to relaxation. Participants can attend either session or stay for both.
