    Tayma Vanek was named winner of the Distinguished Young Woman contest at Colfax High School Saturday night. She was among seven CHS junior girls in the competition which had a “Back to the Future” theme. Elizabeth Harwood was named first alternate, and Madi Cox was named second alternate. The daughter of Todd and Amy Vanek, Tayma received a $1,000 scholarship. She placed second in the talent and scholarship parts of the competition.
