Bing Crosby Rediscovered, an American Masters program which was featured last month on KSPS in Spokane, provided an extra Christmas attraction for the season. The KSPS Prevue publication pointed out Crosby remains as the singer who had more hit singles than any other performer. A new line-up of classes is now available at the Colfax Library through a partnership with Community Colleges of Spokane. These ACT 2 programs run through March and provide low cost, non-credit classes that range from history and technology to cooking and music. The Rural Alliance high school art show will run Jan. 10 through Jan. 23 at the Colfax Branch of Whitman County Library. Artwork will fill two floors of the library with hundreds of student creations, from paintings and drawings to pottery and collage. Dale and Marian Bushnell of St. John celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary Dec. 25, 2014. Sixty-five years ago on Christmas Day, 100 family members and friends watched them exchange vows in the evening at a church in Spokane. Endicott Endicott town council members, friends and neighbors gathered at the Endicott Food Center to honor Sue Bafus on her retirement from her position as Town Clerk after 40 years of service. Mayor Verne Strader said a few words about her years of service and how many mayors she had served under. The group enjoyed appetizers and cake after the ceremony.
