Gazette Editor A pre-trial hearing date has been slated for Friday on two motions filed in advance of the first trial in the state’s murder charge filed against each of the Lazcano brothers. The trial of Daniel Lazcano, 21, is scheduled to start Monday in superior court. A pool of approximately 60 potential jurors will be called and jury selection will start. Topping the ballot list is Pullman School District’s request for a 20-year bond issue for $53.5 million. Of the 15,194 ballots mailed, 12,631 ballots went to voters in the Pullman School District. Tom Kammerzell of Colfax kept a close lead over Al Sorenson of Pullman in the district three port seat. Kammerzell finished with a 17-vote lead, 904 for Kammerzell and 887 for Sorenson.
