Local entrants change name for Colville trip

Name of the local entry in this week’s Little League tournament at Colville has been changed to the Tri-County Patriots to better reflect the recruits the team has picked up from towns outside of Colfax. For their first three tournaments they were the Colfax 12-under team.

After entering the Orofino three-day tourney with just nine players two weeks ago, Coach Wayne Gregory expects to have 12 players on the roster for the trip to Colville.

Players will include Cal Gregory and Danny Robinson from Steptoe, Logan Gingerich, Bryson Fry, Body Yarnell, and Matt Sharp, all Colfax ,; Glenn Gosse, Moscow; Hogan Heytvelt and Ryan Wolf, Pomeroy; Mike Peterson, Pullman; and Jordan Bolen, Clarkston.
