Webber, Eng at Washington All-State Choir

Lindsay Webber and Erica Eng sang in the Washington Music Educators Association (WMEA) All-State Symphonic Choir during the All-Northwest Conference which was held at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, Ore., Feb. 14-17.

Teacher, singer and motivational speaker Dr. Tim Seelig was the conductor of the choir. He is currently serving as artistic director and conductor for the Golden Gate Performing Arts in San Francisco, Calif. Lindsay was also selected by Dr. Seelig to sing a solo in Musical Risotto by Jonathan Wilcocks. After rehearsing Thursday, Friday and Saturday, the choir performed seven selections in a concert that also featured the Oregon Music Educators Association Symphonic Choir on Sunday afternoon in front of approximately 3,000 people.

Both girls are members of the Colfax High School choir under the direction of Cary Cammack who recorded and submitted their auditions. Lindsay is a senior and the daughter of Jon and Angie Webber. Erica is a sophomore and the daughter of Terry and Joanne Eng. In addition, Mike Morgan, CHS band director, was one of the invited speakers at the All-Northwest Conference. His conference session was entitled “Creating a Dynamic Program in the Small School.”
