V-Day WSU sets auditions

V-Day WSU, part of the movement to end gender violence, will host public auditions for the 2013 benefit production of “The Vagina Monologues” from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight and Friday, Nov. 1 and 2, in Todd 302. Performance dates will be Feb. 21-23.

The award-winning play is based on interviews with more than 200 diverse women about their experiences with sexuality, violence and life in general.

V-Day WSU, a registered student organization affiliated with Health and Wellness Services strives to educate the community and raise awareness regarding violence against women and girls.

The majority of the proceeds are donated to Alternatives to Violence of the Palouse, and the rest goes to the national V-Day spotlight campaign.
