Thrivent gives food to 140 families

More than a dozen volunteers gathered to distribute 7,806 pounds of food to those in need Tuesday morning at Peace Lutheran Church in Colfax. Sponsored by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans and Second Harvest, the food truck supplied vegetables, fruits, bread and 184 three-pound roasts donated by the state beef commission to an estimated 140 families.
