Tekoa dessert auction will benefit fireworks

The annual dessert auction to raise money for fireworks for Slippery Gulch Days will be June 1 at the community center. It will begin with burgers and chips served from C&D Bar & Grill. The auction will begin at 7 p.m. and feature cookies, pies and other desserts made by residents of Tekoa.
John Heaton and Jim Thompson will serve as auctioneers.
The fireworks cost approximately $5,000 each year with proceeds from the dessert auction carrying to the following year.
