Shirley Eggers gets 87th fete

Shirley Eggers was guest of honor at an outdoor barbecue to celebrate her 87th birthday last Saturday. Those present included daughter Patsy and Mike Kromm, Quincy; son Terry and Janet Eggers, Sandpoint; Steve Kromm, Colfax and Fran Jones, Dusty.
Golden Elberta peaches are ripening a little later than usual this year. Call Shirley Eggers (Stacy Eggers in the Colfax phone book) before coming to Warm Springs Ranch to pick.
David and Phyllis Stueckle spent Friday through Sunday in Coeur d’Alene with their son’s family, Doug and Cheryl Stueckle. They were part of the 15 guests who helped their great-granddaughter Aurora celebrate her second birthday Sunday in the park.
Linda Hennigar spent Tuesday through Saturday with her daughter’s family, Tami and Jay Banks. Her grandson Wesley participated for the first time in the Benton-Franklin County Fair. He received two blue ribbons for showing his 4H goat and two grand champion ribbons for showing a goat for someone else.
Saturday afternoon, Linda Hennigar and Norm and Gloria Erickson attended the wedding reception for the Ericksons’ nephew, Kevin and April Hogan, at the Luther Senior Center in Richland. Kevin is the son of Dave and Elaine Stueckle Hogan.
Several locals attended the open house to celebrate the 50th wedding anniversary of Mark and Carol Rubin of Colfax at the Colfax Golf Club Saturday afternoon. The event was hosted by the couple’s children, Gwen and Greg Nolan and Jay and Kathy Rubin and families.
