Sgt. Garrett ends overseas deployment

Army Staff Sgt. Steven E. Garrett, a 1995 graduate of LaCrosse High School, has returned to the U.S. after being deployed overseas at a forward operating base to serve in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Sgt. Garrett is a wheeled-vehicle mechanic assigned to the 539th Transportation Company at Fort Wainwright, Alaska. He has served in the military for 15 years.
He is the son of Steven and Cheri L. Garrett of LaCrosse. His wife, Olena, is the daughter of Bernadette Kock of Waitsburg.
