Seutters celebrate 50th in Alaska

Carl G. Seutter and Barbara Jo Ellis were married June 23, 1962, at the Community Presbyterian Church in Oakesdale. They lived in Delaware and then Oklahoma where he was employed with General Motors at Midwest City. They then retired and lived at Hudson, Fla. After two years of RV living they returned to Oakesdale in 2002. The couple celebrated their 50th anniversary with a land/cruise trip in Alaska, accompanied by their children, Carl G. Seutter, Jr., and Carlene L. Seutter. Highlights of their Alaskan adventure were an airplane flight around the top of Mt. McKinley, a train ride through the southern part of Alaska, a helicopter flight to the top of a glacier and a seven day cruise from Whittier to Vancouver, B.C., with shopping in Skagway, Juneau and Ketchikan.
