Prayer Day service slated at Farmington

Farmington Seventh-day Adventist church will host a prayer service for the 61st annual National Day of Prayer Thursday, May 3, at 6 p.m. The Upper Columbia Academy Choraliers will sing, and Pastors Mark Mewhinney, Latah Bible Church; Hal Whitman, Tekoa Community Church; Phil Weagraffe, Garfield Community Church; Dean Walker, Garfield Christian Fellowship; Roger Martin, Seventh-day Adventist Church; Peggy Ray, Garfield United Methodist Church, and James Kilmer, retired pastor, will participate.

This service includes special prayer for the family, church, business, education, military, government and media. All are invited to attend.

This year’s theme, One Nation Under God, is based on Psalm 33:12: “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.”
