New pastor search continues

Country Bible Church will hold a short meeting following morning worship services Sunday, Jan. 6, to hear a sharing of ideas from the Pastor Seeking Committee. The committee is searching for a replacement after Pastor Floyd Overstreet retired from the church’s pulpit. Jeannette Solimine, Colfax, will be guest speaker that morning.

Dinner guests at the home of Art and Colene Sager this past Sunday, were Ray and Twyla Fried, Liberty Lake. They had been guest speakers at the Country Bible Church’s worship services that morning.

Linda Hennigar attended services Christmas Eve at Selbu Lutheran Church and left afterward to spend Christmas with her daughter’s family, Tami, Jay and Wesley Banks, in Kennewick. She returned to her home the following Thursday.

The family of the late Gunder and Betty Aune had their annual gathering Christmas Eve at Selbu Lutheran Church after Christmas Eve service. David and Phyllis Aune Stueckle were two of the fifty in attendance.

Greg, Gwen and Jason Nolan hosted Christmas Day celebration in their Colfax home. Guests included Oscar Broeckel, Brian and Angela Broeckel and Karen Broeckel, Dusty; Cliff and Jeanette Nolan, Colfax; Patty and Jamie Wieber, Matty Forrest, Andrew Nolan and Taylor Schlenske, Spokane; Ken, Pam, Zach and Austin Beasley, Waitsburg; Tom and Doreen Riedner, Genesee; and Tony and Denise Kendall, Tacoma.

Gina and Jason Morgan and Micah spent several days celebrating Christmas with Harmon and Jan Smith. They all attended the service at the Selbu Lutheran Church Christmas Eve. On Christmas Day, they joined Irma Stueckle, Shirley Richardson, Harvey and Leona Herman, Colfax; Shelly and Mark Backstrom and Brady, Longview; Karen Morris, Spokane; Dianne and Dan Morris, Kris Berglund and Brooke and Avery, Valleyford for dinner at Hill-Ray.

Dale and Vicki Broeckel hosted dinner in their home Friday to celebrate the birthday of her sister, Sharry O’Hearne of Colfax. Kim Gustafson was also a guest.

Dusty B.B. Club will meet on Wednesday, Jan. 9, from 9:00 - 3:00 at LaCrosse’s St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Parrish Hall to make baby blankets. Hostesses will be Jenell Guske and Fran Maki. Roll call will be: What do you like best about yourself? Bring sewing supplies to the meeting. Lunch will be provided.
