McGregor Co. names Ag Scholarship winners

May 2, 2012

Five area high school students have been named as recipients of McGregor Co. “Standing Tall for American Agriculture” scholarships. Each will receive $1,000 toward college studies related to agriculture.
They are Heidi Jamison of Garfield, Kristine McMurray of Pullman, Madison Moore of Prosser, Daryl Kerby of Lenore, Idaho, and Jeffrey Kaufman of Lewiston.
Kerby, Kaufman and Jamison all plan to attend the University of Idaho. Kerby will study pre-veterinary science; Kaufman will study ag systems management, and Jamson will study soil and land resources. McMurray plans to study general agriculture at Eastern Oregon University, and Moore plans to major in business at Washington State University.
Company President Alex McGregor noted fine futures are ahead for young people who consider careers in “the most important industry in the Pacific Northwest, agriculture.”
