LaCrosse school gives Character awards

The Student of Character assembly for December was held Friday in the pit. It opened with the “try” award which was given to Gunnar Aune and Matt Stubbs. Academic improvement award was given to Mashayla Morris-Miller.

Mr. Curtis shared that the school had placed second in overall academic achievement in the state out of 295 school districts. The high school had received 100 percent students passing in reading, writing, algebra, and geometry tests. Eighty percent of the students passed the science exam. The elementary grade scored in the top 10 percent for the third year consecutively.

The fifth and sixth graders performed a skit using paper bag puppets entitled The Little Red Hen to describe the character trait of January, which is Justice.
