Juni Fisher will return to Empire

May 16, 2012

Juni Fisher, 2011 Western Music Association Entertainer of the Year, will return to the Empire Theatre Friday, May 18, at 7 p.m. She is also the WMA’s 2011 Female Performer of the Year, and her song, “Yakima,” which is about Yakima Canutt, was designated 2011 Song of the Year. In addition, True West magazine named her the “Best Solo Western Musician” for 2011/2012.
Currently living in Tennessee, Fisher performs extensively all over the country. Several of her CDs have won awards.
Tekoa’s Empire Theatre, an art deco movie theater that closed in 1958, was reopened in 2000 after hours of hard work by many volunteers.
Admission for the Juni Fisher performance Friday will be $12 for adults, $5 for students. Children 12 & under are free when accompanied by an adult.
