Jamison awarded First Wind scholarship

First Wind CEO Paul Gaynor presents a scholarship plaque to Heidi Jamison of Garfield after Tuesday morning’s groundbreaking for the company’s Naff Ridge wind farm. Jamison, a senior at Garfield-Palouse High School, received $2,000. Gaynor said First Wind awarded 12 scholarships nationwide. Jamison, daughter of Rusty and Sandy Jamison, plans to study soil and land resources at the University of Idaho next year. She is treasurer and president of the GP FFA and a member of the National Honor Society.
