1. “School Day (Ring! Ring! Goes the Bell)” (1957), “Sweet Little Sixteen” (1958) and “Johnny B. Goode” (1958).

2. The Box Tops. The song was written by Dan Penn, who also wrote “The Letter” for the group, as well as “Do Right Woman, Do Right Man” for Aretha Franklin.

3. The lyrics are a tribute to four assassinated icons: Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King, Jr., John F. Kennedy and Robert F. Kennedy. Dion recorded the song in 1968.

4. McFadden & Whitehead, on their debut album in 1979. The Pine Bluff Marching Band of the University of Arkansas uses the tune as their theme song.

5. “Auld Lang Syne,” written as a poem in 1788 by Scottish poet Robert Burns. Typically sung on New Year’s Eve, the song has at least six verses.
