All the Pages will be at Tekoa

The Pages of Harmony concert, set for Tekoa’s Empire Theatre Saturday, Dec. 9, at 7 p.m. will include the full ensemble. The group this week confirmed the number of performers who will participate.

The organization has entertained in and around the Spokane area for more than 50 years with classic numbers, gospel songs and arrangements of newer pieces. This will be the Pages of Harmony’s first visit to the Empire.

Concert admission will be $12 for adults, $5 for students, and ages 12 & under are free with accompanying adult. For information: http://www.tekoaempiretheatre.com

Wines, Emrie Jo, born Nov. 28 at Whitman Hospital and Medical Center at seven pounds, 11 ounces, to Tiffany Wines of Colfax. Maternal grandparents are Jackie and Craig Wines of Colfax. She joins a sister, Amelia.

AT PULLMAN REGIONAL HOSPITAL

Herndon, Corinne Marie, born Nov. 15 at eight pounds, one and one half ounces, to David and Maria Herndon of Pullman. Paternal grandparents are Rose and Gary Herndon of Sunnyside. Maternal grandparents are Sylvia Meyer of Spokane and Robert Meyer of Syracuse, N.Y. The baby joins sisters Liuanna, 4, and Emmalyn, 2.

Boyd, Amos Timothy, born Nov. 20 at seven pounds, nine ounces, to Will and Liz Boyd of Troy, Idaho. Paternal grandparents are John and Beth Boyd of Boston, Va. Maternal grandparents are William and Suzanne Kelsey of Lexington, S.C. He joins brothers Cyrus, 8, Owen, 6, Abraham, 4, and Shepherd, 2.

Emerick, Caroline Reese, born Nov. 20 at seven pounds to Dave and Sara Emerick of Pullman. Paternal grandparents are Bob and Christine Emerick of Brentwood, Tenn. Maternal grandparents are Patti Ann Ancell and Max Fort of Lovington, N.M. She joins a brother Cristian, 15.

Nafisah, Faisal, born Nov. 20, at eight pounds, 13 ounces, first child to Sultan and Sarah Safisah of Pullman. Paternal grandparent is Abdul Mohsen Nafisah of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Maternal grandparent is Abdul Rahman Nafisah of Riydh, Saudi Arabia.

Downs, Brayden Joseph, born Nov. 21 at six pounds, 14 ounces, first child to Bradley Joshua and Katie Ann Downs of Pullman. Paternal grandparents are Martin and Julie Downs of Boise. Maternal grandparents are Terry and Debbie Young of Bellevue. He joins half-sister Emma, 9.

Ackley earns degree

Eva Ackley of Pullman graduated from Eastern Oregon University at LaGrande with a degree in business administration. Undergraduate degrees were awarded to 593 students.

Flight school next

Nick Gfeller, a member of the 2009 class at Colfax High School, has been accepted into the Navy’s aviation training program. He will graduate in May from the U.S. Naval Academy at Annapolis, Md., with a degree in mechanical enginieering and receive his officer’s commission. He will begin flight training at Pensacola, Fla. Gfeller is the son of Stan and Lori Gfeller who farm in the Cashup area.

Santa visits Endicott

Saturday, Endicott Community Club hosted a Christmas Celebration on the Community Club lot which included lighted Christmas decorations, floating Japanese lanterns and fireworks. Santa arrived on a fire truck and proceeded to the Endicott Food Center where he talked to each child, got their Christmas lists and gave them a bag of goodies. Hot chocolate, coffee and lots of cookies were served.

One of the decorations, a lighted Christmas tree, was created and presented to the Endicott Community Club by the McGregor Company.

Community Club members will help Santa when he visits the Endicott School Dec. 21.

Santa at Palouse

Santa Claus will arrive at the Palouse Community Center on Saturday, Dec. 15, at noon whistle. Pictures with Santa will be available.
