Endicott tests new schedule

January 4, 2018

The first three meetings of 2018 for the Endicott town council will change from the usual second Tuesday to the first Wednesday of each month.

The council is trying out the new schedule to see how it works for everyone.

The first Wednesday coincides with the community's regular soup and bread dinner which is on the first and third Wednesdays.

The council got a taste of the new schedule in November when the meeting was changed due to conflicts. Council members liked that they were able to go to the community dinner and then meet, and they chose to adjust the future meeting schedule.

The new format also means council members will not have to navigate the winter roads as much with the two events combined.

Meetings are at 7 p.m. at the Endicott town hall.
