Creation of ‘Meet the Artist’ speaker

September 2, 2010

w-mjmiller.jpgMargaret Miller, who created this quilt, City Lights, will be featured when the “Meet the Artist” series resumes next Thursday, Sept. 9, at 7 p.m. at the Colfax Library. A renowned quilt maker, author and teacher from Bremerton, Miller has developed innovative design techniques for making quilts. She has authored several books, including Stunning AnglePlay Quilts, AnglePlay Blocks and Easy Pieces. She will bring many of her quilts to show the audience. She will also teach two weekend workshops sponsored by The Quilted Moose of Colfax. After her presentation, Margaret will sign copies of her books. The Quilted Moose will have books available for purchase at the event. The Meet the Artist series, which was suspended during the library remodeling, is sponsored by the Colfax Arts Council in conjunction with the Friends of the Whitman County Library on the first Thursday of each month. It is free and open to the public.
