Colfax singers in WMEA All-State choirs

CHS freshman Erica Eng, center, daughter of Terry and Joanne Eng, sang as Soprano II in the WMEA All-State Treble Choir in Yakima Feb. 16-20. The choir performed six pieces under conductor Edith A. Copley, Professor of Music and Director of Choral Studies at Northern Arizona University.
CHS sophomore Katie Largent, left, daughter of Gary and Lisa Largent, sang Alto I and CHS junior Lindsay Webber, right, daughter of Jon and Angie Webber, sang Soprano I in the WMEA All-State Symphonic Choir made up of about 250 high school vocalists. They sang seven songs under the direction of conductor Joshua Habermann, center, director of the 200-voice Dallas Symphony Chorus, the official ensemble of the Dallas Symphony Orchestra. The Colfax girls are members of CHS choir under the direction of Cary Cammack. They submitted their audition tapes in September and found out that they were selected from hundreds of auditions across the state in mid-November.
