The late Joyce Bryan of Colfax was honored posthumously with the Distinguished Service Award at the Whitman County Historical Society’s annual meeting. Bryan, who died in June of last year, served on the society’s board of directors for many years as corresponding secretary. She volunteered in many capacities for the Perkins House in Colfax.
