Palouse council weighs cuts to police

Budget discussion turned to matters of police last Tuesday night, Oct. 23, at the Palouse city council meeting.

In order to create a budget where revenues match expenses, Councilman Cecil Floyd brought up options regarding law enforcement, including reduction of officers and/or contracting with the sheriff’s office.

The proposals sparked discussion from the council while no motion was made.
