NOTICE OF MEETING

WHITMAN COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION

Notice is hereby given that the 2012 County Board of Equalization will convene at 10:45 a.m. on July 16, 2012, in the Whitman County Commissioners’ Chambers, 400 N. Main Street, Colfax, Washington, and will continue in session and adjourn from time to time for a period of not less than three (3) days, and not to exceed twenty-eight (28) days. Meetings will be held on August 6, and August 20, 2012 and at other times as required, to publicly examine and equalize the assessments extended in the current year on the taxable property of said county, for taxes to be levied in the year 2012, and to correct all errors in valuation, description or qualities of property assessed by the assessor. The owner or agent of any taxable property who feels there are inequities in their assessment or exemptions may file a petition and appear before the board at the time and place appointed. Appeal forms may be acquired from the Whitman County Commissioners’ Office, at 400 N. Main Street, Colfax, WA, 99111. Dated this 21st day of May 2012.

ORDINANCE NO. 610

AN ORDINANCE OF THE TOWN OF OAKESDALE, WASHINGTON, amending Ordinance No. 375 and Oakesdale Municipal Code ß4.04.030 to provide that the zoning code shall not authorize any land use that violates State or federal law.

BE IT HEREBY ORDAINED by the Council of the Town of Oakesdale as follows:

Section 1. Oakesdale Municipal Code 4.04.030 and those portions of
Ordinance No. 375 that are codified as Oakesdale Municipal Code 4.04.030 are hereby amended to read as follows:

“4.04.030 – Use restricted. Nothing in this zoning code shall authorize
or be construed to authorize or permit any land use that violates State or
federal law. No land or premises shall be used, unless otherwise provided
in this title, except in conformity with the regulations herein prescribed
for the use districts in which such land or premises is located.”

Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect five days after it or
a summary thereof, is published in the official newspaper of the Town of Oakesdale as required by law.
ADOPTED this 21st day of May, 2012, by the Town Council of the
Town of Oakesdale.

BID DATE, JUNE 7, 2012

Sealed bids will be received by the City Clerk of the Town of Garfield in a sealed envelope clearly marked “3rd STREET OVERLAY – CALIFORNIA STREET TO UNION Street” located at City Hall, PO Box 218, 405 W. California, Garfield, Washington 99130, until 2:00 p.m. local time June 7, 2012, and will then and there be opened and publicly read for the construction of the improvements.

All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid proposal deposit in cash, certified check, cashier’s check, or surety bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid proposal deposit shall be forfeited to the Town of Garfield.

The improvement for which bids will be received is described below:

The project provides an overlay on 3rd Street between California Street and Union Street. Prep work may include removing areas with base failure, pre-leveling and crack sealing. In addition to the overlay, the project will provide ADA access upgrades.

PRE-BID CONFERENCE: A Pre-Bid Conference and walk through of the project will commence at Town Hall, at 10:00 a.m. local time on May 30, 2012. ALL PRIME BIDDERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND THE PRE-BID CONFERENCE.

Public Notice

The Endicott School District No. 308, Whitman County, Washington, has completed preparation of a budget extension for fiscal year 2011-2012. The completed budget extension is on file in the school district administration office located at 308 School Drive, Endicott, WA. A copy of the budget will be furnished to any person at the above address.

The Board of Directors of Endicott S.D. #308, Whitman County, WA. will meet in a public meeting on Tuesday, May 29th, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in the Endicott School library, for the purpose of adopting the 2011-2012 budget extension.

Any person may appear at this meeting and be heard for or against the adoption of the 2011-2012 budget extension.
